Requirements
MAS Heavy Metal Requirements MAS Heavy Metal is a robust, dynamic, feature-rich, fully customizable, server side e-business development platform. Heavy Metal can run on all open and proprietary server platforms. This means that virtually any flavor of UNIX or Windows can support MAS Heavy Metal. MAS Heavy Metal is installed on YOUR hosted server. To avoid additional set-up charges, you will need to ensure the following FREE components are installed on your server by your hosting company. (Note* This should take your hosting company approximately 10-15 minutes to install) Requirements: • Unix (preferred) or Windows Server
• Perl 5.0 or higher
• MySQL 3.23 or higher
• Web Server and Secure Web Server
• ImageMagick
The following Perl modules:
• DBI
• DBD::MySQL
• GD
• Chart::Bars
• FreezeThaw
• Chart::ThreeD::Pie
• Crypt::SSLeay
• Text::CSV_XS
• HTML::Element
• Image::Magick
• LWP
• String::CRC32
• MD5
• XML::DOM (only required if using realtime USPS/UPS rates)
• Date::Calc (only required with certain modules)
• Date::Calendar (only required with certain modules)
• HTML::CalendarMonthSimple (only required with certain modules)
If your hosting company DOES NOT offer installation services, we can set-up and install the components for you. There may be a set-up cost based upon the ease or difficulty of setting up your required components. Our engineers will need to have root access to your server to remotely install all of the components. This will be a "hassle-free” process for you.
