Accepting PayPal Payments for Your Online Store

With the Divinity E-commerce Platform, you can accept PayPal payments in addition to your standard merchant account, or as your sole payment type.

PayPal offers two popular solutions for merchants to accept online payments:

PayPal Payflow Pro;
PayPal Express Checkout (Shortcut and Mark Flow).

PayPal Payflow Pro acts just like a credit card gateway and allows your customers to pay for their orders without leaving your online store, while PayPal Express Checkout allows your customers to use their PayPal account to make a purchase while temporarily leaving your online store.

PayPal Payflow Pro (formerly PayPal Direct Checkout) - $25/month

The all-in-one online PayPal payment processing solution.Want to accept credit cards directly on your website and get the fastest checkout available with PayPal?Verisign Payflow Pro Pro is the answer. You get the features of an internet merchant account and payment gateway at a low cost.

How it works:

Step 1: Purchase the Make-a-Store Divnity E-commerce Suite and the Payflow Pro App

Step 2: Apply for PayPal Payflow Pro

Go to PayPal;
Login to your PayPal Business Account;
Click the Merchant Services tab;
Click PayPal Payflow Pro (U.S. Only);
Click Sign Up Now;
Fill in your information, and submit your application. Approval takes between 24 and 48 hours;
Once approved, accept the Pro billing agreement. Check the Getting Started section on the upper left of your account overview page.

PayPal Express (shortcut and Mark Flow) Integration - $25/month

Step 1: Purchase the Make-a-Store Divnity E-commerce Suite and the PayPal Express Checkout App

Step 2: Set Up a Verified PayPal Business Account

If you don't have an existing PayPal account:

Go to PayPal
Click Sign Up Today.
Set up an account for Business Owners.
Follow the instructions on the PayPal site.

If you already have a Personal or Premier account:

Go to PayPal
Click the Upgrade your Account link.
Click the Upgrade Now button.
Choose to upgrade to a Business account and follow instructions to complete the upgrade.
If you haven't already, add a bank account to become a Verified member. Follow the instructions on the PayPal site. (This process may take 2-3 business days.)
