Turn key implementation of Boston Globe's Online Store, including integration with Boston Globe Newspaper Subscriber web service and data migration from existing Storefront application.

Case Study Highlights

  • Migrated data out of existing application and integrated into MAS platform (products, categories, customers, sales, etc).
  • Modified core MAS software to use legacy Globe Registration System. Customers must have a globe.com account in order to check out at the globe store. Integrated utility scripts such as changing password, recovering forgotten password, etc with the Globe Registration System.
  • Integrated MAS with Boston Globe's Fedex shipping workflow via barcode scanning.
  • Various customizations, such as having automatic discounts and showing/hiding content for Globe newspaper subscribers, ordering custom page reproductions and back issues, and more.
  • Globe is using MAS for all store sales, including retail, wholesale, call center phone orders, tracking sales commissions, and more.
  • MAS performed full turn key - including design, implementation, data center server-farm installation, and on site training.
